Qualifications

Higher Certificate in Front Office Administration (NQF Level 5)
(125 credits) / SAQA ID: 111453
Overview: Provides a supportive role to management and Somatologists through front desk communication and administration in a salon and spa environment, while equipping students with selected practical skills. Includes either Retail Marketing or Practical Beauty and Wellness services as elective module.
Duration: 1 Year, Full-time
Admission Requirements: National Senior Certificate (NSC) or National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

Diploma in Somatology (NQF Level 6)
(365 credits) / SAQA ID: 83046
Overview: A highly specialised field of study focusing on the integration of knowledge from theory to practice and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the human body with emphasis on the skin.
Duration: 3 Years, Fulltime
Admission Requirements: A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with endorsement from the Board certifying that you are eligible for Diploma study at a tertiary institution.

Advanced Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics (NQF Level 7)
(120 credits) / SAQA ID: 97898
Overview: Addresses the needs of the Somatologist working under the supervision of medical practitioners in medical aesthetic clinics to perform a larger array of treatments.
Duration: 1 Year, Distance Learning
Admission Requirements: A three-year Diploma (NQF Level 6, 360 credits) or equivalent qualification in a related field.

Faculties

The Isa Carstens® Academy offers two residences. One at each of our campuses.

The Stellenbosch residence is centrally situated close to all amenities and approximately five minutes’ walk to the Isa Carstens® Academy, whist the Pretoria Residences are situated on campus.

Both campuses offer luxury, furnished student accommodation in a safe and secure environment.
